INTRODUCTION

What is high-end trim?

High-end trim allows a user to configure the maximum allowable light output from a luminaire. High-end trim sets the maximum power output for this light as a percentage of its total capacity. The effective light level is the product of the high-end trim and the user-requested level (e.g. if the user sets a light level of 90, and the high-end trim is set to 50, the actual light level will be 45).

How to Use high-end trim with Cree Lighting Luminaires

High-end trim is adjustable in the web application of the Synapse gateway (Edit Light → Advanced → High End Trim). To support unified, continuous dimming from 10 - 100% across various products and drivers with different curves, a high-end trim value other than the default (100) may be set. To set your desired high trim level, simply multiply your maximum high trim percentage to the suggested high-end trim value.
